In the context of Hatha Yoga, this is a balanced practice, and although the physical component occupies most of the class time, other techniques complement the student's evolutionary process. We speak of Shatkarma (body cleansing exercises), Pranayama (breathing exercises), Yoga Nidra (conscious relaxation), Upasana Yoga (meditation) and Mantra (introspective sounds for the purpose of remembering a concept or principle of yoga).

At Yoga Shankara we use props - such as cork blocks and belts - to help the student not only conquer the asanas (postures), but also to achieve real alignment and postural correction.

* Classes on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm are bilingual.
